About Founder, Susan Howland

susan_about.jpgMs. Howland received her Master’s in Education and was an International and Domestic Flight Attendant for 17 years for American Airlines.

In addition to her work as a flight attendant, Ms. Howland acquired her certification as a Nationally Board Certified Counselor and has received training in Crisis Intervention, EMDR, and Trauma Recovery. Her interest in Post Traumatic Stress Disorder inspired her to create Sky Help, a non-profit that helps people work their way through the symptoms of PTSD and anxiety (including survivors of the 9/11 World Trade Center attacks), by way of her Recovery Retreats on Long Beach Island and in New Rochelle, New York.

Currently, Ms. Howland is dedicated to improving the lives of others and has been instrumental in acquiring resources, designing our current programs, and serving as a key player in the development of workshops.  She resides in Moorestown, NJ with her daughter Julia, an avid equestrienne, and their two King Charles Cavalier Spaniels, Kaylie and Toby.
