Sky Help is one of my passions.  The need to help others has led me to think outside of the box, meet wonderful people and experience significant therapies.   I have been to every workshop that Sky Help has run and have learned and grown through each one.  I am honored by the people I have met in workshops - they are truly the heroes and warriors of our time.

I am a mother and my daughter is going away to college this fall.  I have two dogs, two cats and a bird and also ride horses.  Equine therapy is especially close to my heart and I feel that all can benefit from being around these majestic animals.  They help you gain a different perspective on life and find your footing to move forward.

My other passion is being involved in conversations.  I love brainstorming with like-minded individuals who want to make a difference through all mixed-media outlets and also in person.

Film-making is also a passion of mine and I am very excited to move forward with this through classes and connections I've made.

We are all moving forward together.

Workshop REUNION

I'm writing to invite everyone from the March 19th - 21st, 2010 workshop at The Oaks to utilize this venue to keep in touch and support each other. "What about Bob" is the name for our group courtesy of Bianca Bob. I have Lorenzo in my daily prayers and I know this is a tender time for every one of us. I hope that we can reach out to and support each other through our conversations in this safe space.
This is such a difficult time but I have found a couple of positive outlets; one being the idea of "Youtube Video Ticker Tape Parade" in the spirit of the wonderful, and now famous, ticker tape parade that took place in NYC at the end of WWII. Maybe we can even do a choreographed Flash Mob dance and let it go viral so the whole world can see the first responders and volunteers from Ground Zero celebrated as they fully deserve. Maybe Bianca Bob and John Feal can help us. I'll also speak with the New York Film Academy. Any one who has thoughts or ideas about this, please respond to this thread.
Another positive project I came across is one of the ongoing 9/11 Arts Project Memorials - please see the link that follows and check out this great site:
I realize that this is a very sensitive time for everyone. Yet we are each and all still here for a reason, so let's make it a good one. I am fortunate to know each one of you. May we all have more sunny days and laughter as we move forward together through these difficult times and memories.

Love Susan

Hello Ladies,

To begin our catch-up, I'm posting this snippit of a commercial because it reminds me of the sweet and sassy nature of our participants.

I think of you often and truly would love to have a reunion on Long Beach Island or St. John, USVI. What do you belles think?

My daughter Julia just finished high school with flying colors and is going away to the University of Delaware this coming fall. I couldn't be more proud of her and the young woman she is becoming. Her progress and the resolution of some family related issues - including the passing of my dad in 2005, have been the focus of my energies for the past years. I'm looking forward to refocusing on Sky Help and our mission. Both that cause and the people I have met - including all of you - are very dear to my heart.
